A Day

Periods 1 and 2 Honors Geometry, grade 9

Objective: Students will find the measures of central angles and arcs and find the circumference and arc length in order to solve real-world problems.
Following the warm up, homework was collected, Mrs. Dennard taught the new lesson, and students took notes on the new lesson,and practiced the assignment in small groups. Students took a brief exit quiz on today's lesson.uted at the beginning of first period today.

Assignment: Text p. 386-392 1-39.
Homework: Back of the Warm Up Practice 7-6 Circles and Arcs.
Next quiz on Wednesday 7-5 and 7-6.
Chapter 7 Portfolio Projects will be distributed on Wednesday, May 12. All projects are due on Friday, May 21,2010.
Chapter 7 TEST is scheduled for Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Period 3 Pre-Calculus Math Studies IB, grade 11

Objective: Students will learn to solve real-world problems using exponential graphs and equations in order to solve real-worls problems. Following the warm up, Mrs Dennard distributed a photocopy of a text with the examples and assignment. Students took notes, and practiced on graphing calculators, and started on the work.
Assignment: Larson text, 4.1 #1-6- evens only.

Tomorrow - Logarithm properties.
