B Day

Periods 1 and 2 Honors Geometry Grade 9

Objective: Students will solve problems of area in polygons in order to prepare for the Chapter 7 test on Monday. The period 1 class was very long - from 7:45 to 11:30 -due to continued HSA testing. Following the warm up, students put homework solutions on the board, took a brief quiz, and had time to work on their project
Class work was more practice - the practice Chapter 7 test in the text. Assignment Chpater 7 test #1-24.
Homework: Complete the Chapter 7 project, and prepare for the Chapter 7 test on Monday, May 25, 2010.

Per 3 Pre-Calculus, IB, grade 11

Objective: Students will solve exponential and logarithmic equations using algebraic and graphing methods in order to solve real-world problems. Following the warm up, students were assigned practice review work. Algebra 2/Trig books were distributed in class, and homework is assigned from that book.
Assignment: Sullivan text handout:pp.456-7,#5,7,9,17,19,25,29,31,35,39.
Homework: Blitzer Text pp.442-445,#3,9,15,19, 22,31,37,49,55,63,69,79,82,86,114.
Be prepared for a quiz on properties of logarithms.
