B Day

Periods 1 and 2 Accelerated Algebra 1 grade 9

Objective: Students will multiply and divide powers with the same base, and raise a product and a quotient to a power. Following the warm up, Mrs. Dennard answered questions about the previous lessons' homework before teaching students how to simplify an expression with a term within parentheses taken to a power.
Assignment: Text pp. 413-414,#1-30 evens, and #42-50 all. Any work not completed during classtime is to be completed for homework.
Period received the Quarter 4 project assignment and were encouraged to get started on this.
Please be in uniform.
Please be on time for class!


Period 3 Pre-Calculus Math Studies IB grade 11

Objective: Students will solve properties of logarithms in order to solve problems with a human memory model. Asssignment: Larson Pre-Calc text handout: pp 260 - 262, #69, 71, 73, 76, 77, 78, 80, 83, 85, 86. Any work not completed during class time is expected to be done to turn in tomorrow. Be prepared for a quiz on exponential and logarithmic problems on Friday.

A Day

Periods 1 and 2 Honors Geometry grade 9

Objective: Students will learn to find the area of a circle, and ia sector, and segments of circles in order to solve real-world problems. Following the warm up, Mrs. Dennard answered homework questions, and assigned 5 more practice problems on that topic before beginning the new lesson on finding the area of a sector and a segment. Mrs. Dennard went revied each of the practice problems with students.
Homework : Complete Worksheet 7-6 on the back of the warm up sheet.
Be prepared for a quiz on 7-4 through 7-7.


Period 3 Pre-Calculus Math Studies IB grade 11

Objective: Students will solve problems using the properties of logarithms in order to solve real-world problems. Following the warm up, Mrs. Dennard answered question of the previoss lesson's homework before staring of the properties of logarithms. Assignment: Larson Pre-Calc text handout: p. 259, #9-40.
Be prepared for a quiz on Friday.

Following the warm up, students took notes on the lesson, and were assigned practice problems, and worked on a handout on multiplying exponential terms,
Assignment: Text pp. 405-409, # 31,34,37,40,42,44, Handout
Homework, Back of the warm up, and the other side of the group work handout on Scientific Notation.


Period 3 Pre-Calculus Math Studies IB gradew 11

Objective: Students will solve and graph exponential and logarithmic equations in order to solve real-world problems. Following the warm up, Mrs. Dennard answered questions on the lesson and homework assignment, and students were assigned 6 more practice problems on the same topic.
Homework: Complete classwork assignment.
