B Day

Periods 1 and 2 Accelerated Algebra 1, grade 9

Objective: Students will review and practice all objectives in Unit 5 in order to prepare for the Unit 5 TEST on Monday! Following the warm up, Mrs Dennard went over the Unit 5 test review pack, demonstrating all solutions. Students took notes.
Homework: Text pp.709,#1-71, multiples of 3 only!

Bonus problem: Find the fifth term of the sequence A(n)= -3(-2)^n+1. You must show all work to get any credit!

Period 3 Pre-Calculus IB, grade 11

Objective: Students will solve problems using right triangle trigonometry, including the six trigonometric functions, in order to solve real-world problems.
Following the warm up, Mrs. Dennard answered a few questions about the homework, and began to teach the new lesson. Students worked on practice problems, and received an assignment for homework. Assignment; Checkpoint problems, #7,8,9 pp 478-480, and # 1,2,3 & 4, pp 485-487.
Homework: Text p.495, # 1-20.

Periods 1 and 2 Honors Geometry, grade 9

Objective: Students will find and use relationships in similar right triangles, including calculating the geometric mean, in order to find distance indirectly. Following the warm up, students took notes on the new lesson, and started on the practice problems.
Assignment: Text pp 439-443, # 1-20.
Homework: Back of the warm up.
****Be prepared for a quiz on Chapter 8-1 through 8-4!! on FRIDAY!!

Bonus problem: The altitude to the hypotenuse of a right triangle divides the hypotenuse into segments with lengths in the ratio of 1:2. The length of the altitude is 8. How long is the hypotenuse? You must show all work with your answer!

Period 3 Pre-Calculus, IB, grade 11

Objective: Students will solve problems using angles and radian measures in order to solve real-world problems. Following th warm up, Mrs Dennard taught the new lesson, and returned all work received by Friday May 28. Students were assigned practice problems.
Assignment: Text pp. 480-483, #1-92, multiples of 4.
Homework: Complete classwork assignment.
