A Day

Period 2A and 4A Geometry
Objective: Students will learn to use a compass and protractor in order to measure angles, and construct angle bisectors and perpendicular bisectors. Following the warm up,students worked in small groups to complete the Math "game" of the back of the warm up. When this was completed, Mrs. Dennard distributed protractors and compasses to each student, and taught the new lesson. Mrs. Dennard distributed the Unit 1study guide, and this is due next week on Tuesday.

Next week we will have one class for review and questions, and the Unit One Test will be on Thursday.

Period 3 Math Studies IB
Objective: Students will review and practice analyzing the distribution of a single data set in order to compare a frequency graph to a boxplot to analyze a set of marks for 100 students. Following the warm Up, Students continued to work on the assignment from Monday, and turned these in as they were finished. Additionally, students completed #2 on p. 297-299 in Oxford, This assignment was reviewed in class today. There is no homework this weekend. Several students are working on an error analyses of the presumed knowledge quizzes. Next week, we will review the statistics quiz, and learn the uses of standard deviation and parallel boxplots.
