B Day

Periods 1 and 2 Accelerated Algebra 1

Objective: Students will solve exponential equations and learn to form geometric sequences.
Period 1: following the warm up, students started on the review assignment, and Mrs. Dennard went over all problems and re-taught the lesson on exponential growth and decay, and started the lesson on geometric sequences.
Assignment: Text pp 442-444, # 30-42, & 56-59.
Homework: On the Back of the warm up sheet: Worksheet 8-6.
4th Quarter Project was due today for this class.

Period 2: This class met only once last week, so their lesson and assignment are different from Period 1 this week. Following the warm up, Mrs. Dennard taught the lesson on exponential growth and decay, and compound interest with multiple compoundings Students completed the Check for Understanding questions, and started on # 1-29. Mrs.Dennard answered individual's questions on the 4th quarter project.
Homework: Complete pratice assignment # 1-42 on pp.441-443.
Leave the back of the warm up blank - we will complete this in class on Thursday.
4th Quarter Projects are due on Thursday for this class.

Period 3 Pre-Calculus IB, grade 11

Objective: Students will solve problems using exponential and logarithmic equations in order to solve real-world problems. Following the warm up, Mrs Dennard answered questions on yesterday's assignment and homework, and classwork practice was assigned: Blitzer text pp 442-443 # 1-18, 21,26,33,36,40,43,49,51,63,68,69.
